Manager of Wellness, Recreation, and Social Coordination

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive wellness, recreation, and social engagement strategy for the workforce accommodation site
• Organize and manage recreational sports leagues, tournaments, and drop-in activities
• Develop and implement wellness programs promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being
• Plan and execute social events such as movie nights, BBQs, and cultural celebrations
• Oversee recreation and wellness facilities including gyms, sports courts, and lounges
• Recruit, train, and supervise wellness, recreation, and social coordination staff
• Manage annual and monthly budgets for all programming and equipment
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure all programs are delivered safely in alignment with HSEQ standards
• Develop communication materials to promote upcoming programs and events to residents

Requirements

• Legally entitled to work in the United States
• Significant experience managing recreation, wellness, social, or community engagement programs
• Experience in large-scale residential, camp, resort, or remote workforce environments preferred
• Demonstrated ability to plan programs for large, diverse populations
• Strong event planning, logistics, and budget management skills
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment with rotating shifts (e.g., 14/14 or 21/10 rotations)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms
• Ability to pass site access, background, and drug/alcohol screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in recreation management, kinesiology, hospitality, or related field
• Certification in fitness instruction, personal training, or mental health first aid
• Experience designing programs specifically for shift workers
• Experience working with multicultural and multilingual workforces
• Bilingual skills (English and Spanish)
