Manager of Volunteer Services

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Volunteer Services Department strategy and long-term planning
• Manage volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition through the VolunteerNow.org portal
• Oversee department staff, providing leadership, coaching, and supervision
• Develop and manage the department budget and support funding development efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, board members, and corporate partners
• Support Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) operations and manage disaster-related contracts
• Represent CVNL in community partnerships, COADs, and VOADs
• Design and deliver volunteer management trainings and workshops for nonprofit leaders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the nonprofit sector
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and volunteer management platforms
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and identities
• Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation
• Bilingual Spanish skills (highly preferred)
• CERT certification (highly preferred)
