Manager of Technology

Responsibilities

• Lead the requirements gathering, planning, and implementation of technical and workflow solutions for News, Production, and Creative Services.
• Oversee and administer media production applications, systems, and infrastructure to ensure operational reliability.
• Manage staffing and supervisory duties for Production Operations Specialists, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee technical support, incident response operations, and stakeholder communication.
• Provide guidance and resourcing to ensure team objectives and SLAs are met.
• Hire, coach, and develop team members throughout their career journeys.
• Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cybersecurity policies, standards, and FCC rules.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience in people or project management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Radio, Television & Film, or a related field.
• Expertise in media technology including SDI, NDI, and ST-2110 video infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of core IT fundamentals, including physical/virtualized/cloud compute, storage, networking, and identity management.
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical technology facilities or live event production operations.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in San Jose, CA, including willingness to work outside standard hours and weekends.
