Manager of Tax Accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of the income tax provision, including effective tax rate, current and deferred taxes, and valuation allowances
• Ensure accurate and timely close processes, including tax journal entries and account reconciliations
• Oversee the presentation of tax-related balances and disclosures in financial statements
• Drive automation and optimization of tax accounting processes using OneSource, Power BI, and Excel
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of tax professionals to foster a high-performance culture
• Identify and document uncertain tax positions (UTPs) in accordance with ASC 740
• Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support financial statement audits
• Monitor changes in tax law and assess impacts on tax provision and forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of relevant tax accounting experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• CPA certification is required
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP
• Experience in a Big 4/public accounting firm or a large corporate tax department
• Proficiency with OneSource Tax Provision and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN
