About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide institution-wide leadership and operational ownership of all recruitment and selection activities across three campus locations.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for faculty, staff, administrators, and temporary positions from requisition to onboarding.
- Serve as the functional owner and primary system administrator for the university’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Design, implement, and maintain recruitment workflows, including approvals and hiring milestones within the ATS.
- Advise hiring managers and academic administrators on recruitment strategy, position design, and hiring best practices.
- Develop and publish recruitment guides and standardized tools such as screening rubrics and interview guides.
- Train search committee members on recruitment processes, system navigation, and equitable hiring practices.
- Lead recruitment marketing efforts and social media strategies in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, EEO requirements, and institutional policies.
- Generate and analyze recruitment metrics, including applicant flow, time-to-fill trends, and EEO reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or employment services.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Working knowledge of employment laws, EEO compliance, and recruitment best practices.
- Experience working in a complex or multi-location organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in higher education recruitment or working within a unionized environment.
- Experience serving as a functional owner or system administrator for an ATS.
- Professional certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or a recognized recruitment certification.
