Manager of Project Management

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers through coaching and career guidance
• Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
• Assess team capacity and allocate resources to initiatives based on business priorities
• Design and improve processes, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms for organizational scaling
• Maintain visibility across multiple programs to identify cross-functional dependencies and risks
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations departments to align priorities
• Develop frameworks for risk identification, assessment, and escalation
• Recruit, interview, and onboard exceptional Project Managers
• Drive executive-level reporting on portfolio status and organizational capacity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing project management professionals
• Proven success building and scaling project management organizations and governance structures
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and resource planning
• Experience managing complex cross-functional programs
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Asana
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by U.S. law due to export-controlled information

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PgMP, or PMI-ACP certification
