Manager of HPD Referrals

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day work operations of the HPD Packet review team
• Manage HPD housing options including Middle Income Units (MIU) Augmented, set asides, and New Constructions
• Troubleshoot landlord documentation and HPD inspections
• Serve as a liaison with HPD, HRA, and DHS contracted shelters
• Ensure DHS program participants receive appropriate rental subsidies like City FHEPS and SOTA
• Supervise staff and assist with processing HPD Augmented packages
• Maintain the HPD database and produce reports and trackers
• Manage reconciliation of client exits in CARES and oversee NYCHA placements
• Conduct regular staff meetings and facilitate training sessions
• Monitor requests for client transportation from shelters to permanent housing
• Generate regular reports and data insights for senior and executive staff

Requirements

• Permanent status in the Administrative Community Relations Specialist civil service title or comparable title eligible for 6.1.9 title change
• Baccalaureate degree and four years of community liaison or community relations experience (with two years in administrative/policy-making capacity)
• OR a high school diploma and eight years of relevant experience
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience
