About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day activities of research nurses and Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs)
  • Ensure clinical trial activities are completed with accuracy, completeness, and strict adherence to federal and state guidelines
  • Participate in trial feasibility assessments, clinical operations reviews, and trial implementation support
  • Lead slot management for monthly enrollment to prioritize and accrue appropriate clinical trials
  • Manage performance and professional development for the research team, including hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Identify and implement ways to streamline internal organizational processes and trial execution
  • Act as the first point of escalation for physicians, sponsors, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor individual site goals, financial performance, quality assurance, and contracted patient enrollment
  • Provide clinical coverage and assistance with ongoing research as needed

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in Tennessee
  • At least three years of experience in clinical research
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficient clinical nursing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification
  • CCRC, ACRP, or SOCRA certification
