Manager of Administration

Responsibilities

• Manage unit budgets, including revenue oversight, expense tracking, year-end procedures, and account reconciliation
• Develop budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the management team
• Provide financial analysis and reporting for senior leadership and Forestry finance
• Coordinate human resources activities including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Oversee departmental purchasing and manage vendor contracts and licenses
• Provide operational leadership and support the implementation of strategic plans
• Collaborate on emergency preparedness, planning, and response coordination
• Manage administrative systems, facility rental bookings, and procurement of equipment

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
• Completion of at least 7 of the 14 CPA academic prerequisites
• Minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of University policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and administrative management
• Class V Driver's License
• Level I First Aid Certificate
• Knowledge of the BC Forest Safety Council and completion of auditor training
• Working knowledge of the forest industry
• Willingness to acquire FoodSafe and Serving It Right certifications
