Manager, Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of a Mechanical Engineering Team of approximately 12 members
• Oversee the design and integration of aircraft system upgrades and structural modifications
• Lead the design and liaison of aircraft primary and secondary structures using 3D CAD and military/commercial standards
• Manage job assignments, manpower estimates, project status, and engineering budgets
• Provide technical leadership and review for engineering drawings and designs
• Support production and manufacturing through the interpretation of engineering designs
• Ensure compliance with company processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with at least 9 years of related experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design of aircraft structures and components
• Minimum 4 years of experience in aircraft primary and secondary structure modifications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Systems Engineering
• Active Secret security clearance
• Strong analytic and communication skills with experience coaching and managing technical personnel
• Proven ability to manage complex activities and meet program objectives within cost and schedule requirements
