About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of material flow engineers, providing mentorship and performance management.
- Define and execute material flow strategies aligned with production, logistics, and business goals.
- Oversee the design and implementation of material flow processes, storage systems, and line-side delivery solutions.
- Optimize layouts, storage concepts, and flow strategies to support volume ramp-up and new program launches.
- Partner with logistics, manufacturing, production planning, and warehouse operations teams.
- Deploy performance tracking tools, including KPIs and dashboards, to monitor efficiency.
- Drive end-to-end execution of greenfield and expansion projects, managing timelines and budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
- 6+ years of experience in Material Flow Engineering, including leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience with SKD and CBU programs.
- Strong background in greenfield project execution within OEM or Tier 1 environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and AutoCAD.
- Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with simulation tools such as FlexSim or equivalent.
- Expertise in time and motion studies and change management.
