Manager, Material Flow Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of material flow engineers, providing mentorship and performance management.
• Define and execute material flow strategies aligned with production, logistics, and business goals.
• Oversee the design and implementation of material flow processes, storage systems, and line-side delivery solutions.
• Optimize layouts, storage concepts, and flow strategies to support volume ramp-up and new program launches.
• Partner with logistics, manufacturing, production planning, and warehouse operations teams.
• Deploy performance tracking tools, including KPIs and dashboards, to monitor efficiency.
• Drive end-to-end execution of greenfield and expansion projects, managing timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
• 6+ years of experience in Material Flow Engineering, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience with SKD and CBU programs.
• Strong background in greenfield project execution within OEM or Tier 1 environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and AutoCAD.
• Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with simulation tools such as FlexSim or equivalent.
• Expertise in time and motion studies and change management.
