Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable. We are scaling up battery manufacturing at our high-volume facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of manufacturing test engineers to deploy equipment for assembly processes
  • Design and maintain scalable test software, GUIs, and operator workflows
  • Develop, deploy, and validate production test equipment, fixtures, PLCs, and instrumentation architectures
  • Link test software and hardware with MES, databases, and factory automation platforms
  • Partner with EHS to design safe test systems for high-voltage environments
  • Lead root-cause investigations and resolve complex hardware, software, and process failures
  • Create technical documentation including test procedures and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing automated test systems in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing a team of manufacturing test engineers
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++, or Go
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, UART, SPI, I2C)
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience scaling systems from prototype to high-volume manufacturing
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or battery management systems
