About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse team of external workers in GMP operations, including Raw Material and Solution Logistics, Weighing and Dispensing, and Buffer/Media Solution Preparation.
- Support 24/7 manufacturing operations on a 12-hour night shift schedule (5:45pm to 6:15am) using a 2-2-3 rotation.
- Champion safety and quality culture within the department and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee inventory control, cycle count processes, and monitor warehouse capacity.
- Serve as the owner for Material Transfer Equipment, managing preventative maintenance and operability.
- Manage quality system records, including deviations, change control, CAPA, and SOPs.
- Support regulatory inspections by evaluating compliance issues and developing inspection playbooks.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED + 12 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR
- Associate's degree + 10 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR
- Master's degree + 3 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR
- Doctorate degree.
- Proven experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, or programs.
- Ability to work assigned 12-hour night shifts, including holidays and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Managerial or technical expertise in a GMP manufacturing drug substance plant utilizing Single Use technology.
- Proficiency in ERP-SAP, MES, and inventory management systems.
- Cross-functional experience in Supply Chain, Process Development, Quality, or Engineering.
- Strong communication, change management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and build technical expertise within internal site teams.
