Manager, Manufacturing Science and Technology

Responsibilities

• Lead process design from bench to scale-up, including equipment selection and process flows to meet client needs.
• Enforce best practices for technology transfer and perform process engineering analysis to determine cycle time and scale-up risks.
• Coordinate with Process Science and transfer teams to ensure robust technology transfer plans and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and qualify Critical Process Parameters (CPPs) and Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs).
• Manage department personnel by selecting, hiring, training, and monitoring performance objectives.
• Support Business Development by showcasing technical expertise and participating in project evaluation teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• Six years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.
• Two years of leadership experience.
• Direct experience with drug substance projects, specifically Biologics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience with the start-up and commissioning of facilities, process equipment, and instrumentation.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of business metrics.
• Basic understanding of applicable codes and quality/regulatory standards.
