Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the Instrumentation Engineering group in the design, development, and implementation of automation instrumentation and controls solutions for assembly and packaging processes.
• Manage the design and prototyping of hardware and software, including vision systems, electrical schematics, motion control, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
• Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of PLC/SCADA application software for manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Manage vendor communications and collaborations to ensure successful project execution.
• Review engineering designs to ensure adherence to company guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor team members to build technical capability and ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts, technology transfers, and new product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on automation instrumentation and controls design experience.
• Proficiency in PLC/SCADA application software development.
• Expertise in machine vision systems.
• Strong programming skills in SQL Server and Visual Basic.
• Deep knowledge of VFD and Servo drives (AB & SEW preferred).
• Ability to travel approximately 15% based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in a regulated or medical device manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of servo motion control, robotics, and PID loops.
• Familiarity with CE, UL, SCCR, and NFPA-70E/79 regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach to root cause analysis.
