About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and consultation for plant infrastructure, including power, water, air, lighting, and HVAC systems during the 3rd shift
- Supervise hourly bargaining unit maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Manage facility support systems such as air compressors, electrical breakers, plumbing, chillers, and boilers
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for injection molding equipment, including hydraulic systems and machine controls
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, including OSHA and EPA requirements
- Coordinate maintenance activities and resources to meet company KPIs and minimize downtime
- Respond to facility emergencies and direct staff to perform cost-effective, timely repairs
Requirements
- Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (including military service)
- 5+ years of experience in production facility operation and maintenance
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports
- Working knowledge of PLC and automated industrial production equipment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA requirements related to maintenance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supervising employees in a union environment
- Previous experience specifically with injection molding processes
