Manager, Main Operations Center

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the operational framework of the Main Operations Center (MOC)
• Facilitate the design, construction, and implementation of the MOC layout and internal processes
• Support the establishment of physical and functional organizational structures for Games-time operations
• Recommend and develop information-sharing systems and protocols across the Games delivery ecosystem
• Distill inputs to facilitate decision-making at tactical, operational, and strategic levels
• Develop processes for issue escalation and resolution during Games operations
• Serve as primary project manager for MOC layout, construction, and scaled buildout
• Develop standard operating procedures and training for MOC positions
• Plan and implement an organizational blueprint for communication, command, and coordination
• Define roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines across LA28 and partners
• Identify critical information flows and oversee digital information systems for real-time management
• Develop decision matrices and escalation paths for critical information

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years in major events or complex operational environments requiring large-scale command center setup
• Experience working in or building operational centers or facilities
• Demonstrated experience engaging broad stakeholder groups and achieving cross-functional alignment
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight timelines
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
• Available to work onsite in Downtown Los Angeles
• Ability to travel occasionally within and outside the Greater Los Angeles region

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
