Manager, Local Media Distribution and Affiliate Operations

Responsibilities

• Develop MLB's strategy for local rights distribution through research and executive presentations
• Prepare deal materials for key renewals
• Negotiate and execute linear distribution agreements with traditional and virtual MVPDs
• Manage assigned corporate and regional MVPD accounts
• Source new business and distribution opportunities
• Maintain relationships with marketing and ad sales decision-makers
• Execute local ad sales and corporate promotional programs
• Support affiliate operations including blackouts, regionalization, and digital distribution
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and sporting events

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in MVPD partnerships, sports media, or media operations
• Experience in local/RSN linear rights negotiations
• Strong understanding of deal structuring in the linear local sports media landscape
• Working knowledge of legal contracts and negotiation processes
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Ability to work in Secaucus, NJ and New York City, NY
• Ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or JD degree
• Strong industry relationships within partner management and deal negotiations
