Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on framing and reviewing policies, contracts, and agreements related to the lending business to minimize liability.
• Draft and review partnership agreements for NBFC and Banking partnerships and outsourcing arrangements with LSPs.
• Monitor the regulatory environment to identify and analyze new legislations, amendments, and notifications impacting the business.
• Advise stakeholders on ongoing and emerging legal risks arising from new laws or regulations.
• Liaise with partner NBFCs and Banks to structure products in compliance with regulatory environments for lending and co-lending.
• Conduct regular internal diligence and risk assessments related to LSP operations and digital lending processes.
• Coordinate with tech, product, and business teams to ensure compliant implementation of customer journeys and product features.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and MIS required for compliance and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law (Master's degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in an NBFC, Bank, or FinTech operating in Digital Lending.
• In-depth knowledge of RBI regulations, including Digital Lending Guidelines, KYC norms, and Outsourcing Guidelines.
• Strong understanding of NBFC-LSP operating models and co-lending arrangements.
• Proven legal and contractual acumen for reviewing lending and outsourcing agreements.
