Manager, IT Security Engineering

Responsibilities

• Work with Security, Risk and Compliance (SRC) stakeholders to define requirements for security capabilities to mitigate business risk.
• Install, configure, and evaluate new technologies through proof-of-concept implementations.
• Develop solution architectures and create technical documentation, including requirements, test cases, and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Windows, Linux, and macOS at both endpoint and server levels.
• Liaise with IT colleagues to assist with the implementation and rollout of platform security tools.
• Provide input to the platform security roadmap to identify and plan for critical needs or gaps.
• Act as the system manager for identified platform security tools and lead sustainment projects for existing capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience, or equivalent professional experience.
• Practical experience in IT Security and infrastructure protection.
• Strong technical knowledge of EDR, DLP, and SOAR technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Solid understanding of SIEM, cloud security, and various security domains including cryptography and network security.
• Experience working with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing project-focused information security work within an enterprise setting.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Prior experience working within a pharmaceutical company.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP or GIAC.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
