Manager, IT Delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of technical staff responsible for designing, developing, testing, and monitoring software and tools.
• Manage the full software delivery lifecycle, including planning, executing releases, and managing project risks and resources.
• Act as a primary liaison between technical teams and business sponsors to define project scope and requirements.
• Develop and implement staffing plans, operational procedures, and department goals to meet evolving business needs.
• Drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement to enhance service delivery levels and system performance.
• Integrate cybersecurity best practices and advanced security measures into IT projects to safeguard company assets.
• Manage department budgets, review expenses, and report on service delivery metrics to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, software development, or IT service delivery.
• Proven previous experience in people leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on technical experience with Java, Python, and AWS services.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, ECS, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo) and TDD/BDD practices.
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk, Honeycomb, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC best practices, and tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, ITIL, or Agile certifications.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• High-level understanding of automated testing concepts and cybersecurity frameworks.
