Manager, Invest Tech

Responsibilities

• Manage an agile development team to build scalable portfolio construction and analysis applications.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and technical strategy driver for business capabilities and products.
• Interface with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business priorities and enterprise architecture.
• Monitor engineering throughput and implement practices to reduce cycle time and increase efficiency.
• Focus on reducing technical debt and increasing the resiliency of the technical platform.
• Experiment with new technologies to solve complex, unique challenges in the investment space.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Full Stack Engineering experience developing distributed data analytics and visualization software.
• 10+ years of Data Engineering experience developing complex data pipelines for big data sets.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and libraries including numpy, pandas, scipy, and matplotlib.
• Expertise in both SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Parquet) data stores.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Plotly, PowerBI, or Tableau.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and React.js.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD (Jenkins, Travis-CI, or CircleCI), and Linux server administration.
• Foundational understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivative instruments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related advanced field.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CIPM, CAIA, or FRM.
