About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage an agile development team to build scalable portfolio construction and analysis applications.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and technical strategy driver for business capabilities and products.
- Interface with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business priorities and enterprise architecture.
- Monitor engineering throughput and implement practices to reduce cycle time and increase efficiency.
- Focus on reducing technical debt and increasing the resiliency of the technical platform.
- Experiment with new technologies to solve complex, unique challenges in the investment space.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Full Stack Engineering experience developing distributed data analytics and visualization software.
- 10+ years of Data Engineering experience developing complex data pipelines for big data sets.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and libraries including numpy, pandas, scipy, and matplotlib.
- Expertise in both SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Parquet) data stores.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Plotly, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and React.js.
- Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD (Jenkins, Travis-CI, or CircleCI), and Linux server administration.
- Foundational understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivative instruments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related advanced field.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CIPM, CAIA, or FRM.
