Manager, Invest Tech

Responsibilities

• Manage an agile development team to build scalable portfolio construction and analysis applications.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and technical strategy driver for business capabilities and products.
• Interface with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business priorities and enterprise architecture.
• Monitor engineering throughput and implement practices to reduce cycle time and increase delivery speed.
• Focus on reducing technical debt and increasing the resiliency of the technical platform.
• Experiment with new technologies to find creative solutions to complex investment challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Full Stack Engineering experience developing distributed data analytics and visualization software.
• 10+ years of Data Engineering experience developing complex data pipelines for big data sets.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and libraries including numpy, pandas, scipy, and matplotlib.
• Strong database programming skills in both SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Parquet).
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React.js.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools like Plotly, PowerBI, or Tableau.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD (Jenkins, Travis-CI, or CircleCI), and Linux server administration.
• Foundational knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivative instruments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related advanced field.
• Experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CIPM, CAIA, or FRM.
