About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on costing and inventory treatment of accounting transactions and related financial reporting requirements.
- Manage and develop a team to work efficiently and effectively on reporting needs.
- Manage the inventory monthly close function, ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounting records within a strict timeline.
- Coordinate and drive inventory valuation and assist with month-end close and financial reporting for inventory accounts.
- Support reporting requirements including audit schedules, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
- Maintain relationships with business partners, including FP&A and Operational functions, to increase transparency and support cost control.
- Develop a strong understanding of data sources to provide analysis of potential risks and create solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of combined experience in public or corporate accounting functions.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Direct experience in consumer products or manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in standard costing principles.
- Highly advanced Excel and data organization skills.
- Strong technical accounting background; knowledge of IFRS is a strong plus.
- Experience in fast-growth environments or inventory-based E-Commerce businesses is preferred.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
