Responsibilities
- Schedule, plan, and coordinate activities for assigned audits and advisory engagements.
- Develop risk-based audit programs aligned with corporate business objectives and strategies.
- Lead the planning and execution of audit programs, including assessing observations and obtaining management commitment to action plans.
- Participate in the annual Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program and review testing results.
- Drive the department toward an insights-driven model by enhancing data analysis capabilities and tools.
- Provide quality leadership for audit engagements and special projects, ensuring adherence to audit standards.
- Report audit conclusions, recommended improvements, and follow-up status to senior leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Monitor the resolution of management actions regarding identified control gaps.
Requirements
- 4-year University Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional audit designation (CPA, CIA, or CISA).
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on audit experience.
- 2 years of experience in staff supervision.
- Demonstrated understanding of IIA Standards and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.
- Experience testing ICFR, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and application automated controls.
- Proficiency with data analytics or visualization software (e.g., ACL, PowerBI, or Tableau).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various OPG sites across Ontario.
