About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily P&L reporting, risk attribution, and analysis to the Front Office and management teams.
  • Perform independent price verification (IPV) and valuation of portfolios using sophisticated analytical modeling.
  • Reconcile reported P&L to Front Office estimates and the general ledger, ensuring accurate balance sheet substantiation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in booked transactions to ensure the accuracy of daily reporting and accounting.
  • Maintain business performance metrics and control of Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Supervise P&L Analysts and provide leadership within the Product Control team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Product Control, Middle Office, or Finance within a Capital Markets environment.
  • Strong understanding of Derivative and Structured Finance products and collateral management.
  • Proven experience with P&L construction, risk attribution, and capital markets accounting.
  • Proficiency with Excel; knowledge of VBA or Python is considered a significant plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a demanding Front-Office client base.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA).
  • Relevant certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA.
