About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide daily P&L reporting, risk attribution, and analysis to the Front Office and management teams.
- Perform independent price verification (IPV) and valuation of portfolios using sophisticated analytical modeling.
- Reconcile reported P&L to Front Office estimates and the general ledger, ensuring accurate balance sheet substantiation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in booked transactions to ensure the accuracy of daily reporting and accounting.
- Maintain business performance metrics and control of Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Supervise P&L Analysts and provide leadership within the Product Control team.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Product Control, Middle Office, or Finance within a Capital Markets environment.
- Strong understanding of Derivative and Structured Finance products and collateral management.
- Proven experience with P&L construction, risk attribution, and capital markets accounting.
- Proficiency with Excel; knowledge of VBA or Python is considered a significant plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a demanding Front-Office client base.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Relevant certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA.
