About the role
Responsibilities
- Track executed interconnection agreements (LGIA/GIA) and amendments to ensure all milestones and compliance requirements are met through construction and operations
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of Network Upgrades (NUs), Affected Systems studies, and interconnection scope to confirm cost, schedule, and design assumptions
- Monitor and communicate NRIS timing expectations and flag potential risks to project timelines
- Track IA-required physical construction work from commencement through completion, managing dependencies and critical path impacts
- Manage the ICAP deferral process and other ISO/RTO mechanisms to protect deliverable capacity positions
- Serve as project manager for all material modification request workstreams post-FNTP
- Support the transition of projects from COD into operations by handing off interconnection compliance obligations to the Asset Management team
- Maintain project-specific interconnection risk registers and dashboards regarding network upgrade delays and cost uncertainty
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in interconnection, transmission planning, grid integration, or asset operations
- Direct experience tracking IA/LGIA obligations and network upgrade execution
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO processes, market rules, and deliverable capacity mechanisms
- Knowledge of NERC/FERC requirements and operating asset interconnection compliance
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a structured, process-oriented manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in power system tools such as PSSE, PSLF, or PSCAD
- Ability to translate complex technical outputs into clear cost and schedule impacts
