About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic planning, management, and deployment of infrastructure resources including server infrastructure, scientific instruments, HPC, AI, and cloud services
  • Administer and maintain enterprise storage and server infrastructure (e.g., Box, RDS) ensuring high availability and security
  • Manage data lifecycle in compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations including HIPAA
  • Provide technical guidance, escalation support, and design scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Oversee budget reporting, fiscal resources, and vendor contractual activities
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Manage personnel actions including hiring, performance evaluations, and training

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in a technical environment
  • Expertise in design and management of complex technical systems
  • In-depth knowledge of server hardware, software, and performance analysis
  • Proficiency in server virtualization (e.g., VMWare)
  • Experience with enterprise file system management and scripting methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Microsoft server experience and certifications
  • Knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, and group policy
  • Experience with enterprise shared storage and snapshot technologies
