About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 12+ Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs), providing mentorship, career development, and daily tasking.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for information security across systems, software, and networks.
- Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) duties, including detailed planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring deliverables meet budget and schedule.
- Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Security Life Cycle (steps one through six) to ensure information assurance is integrated into design architecture.
- Develop critical security documentation, including Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), System Security Plans (SSP), and Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM).
- Collaborate with Software Development teams on Secure Software Development Practices, including static and dynamic code analysis.
- Interface with customers and accreditation officials to define and achieve cybersecurity objectives and provide Cyber Security as a Service (CsaaS) support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 9 years of related Information Security experience (or a Graduate degree in STEM with 7+ years of experience).
- Active TS/SCI Government Security Clearance required upon start.
- DoD 8570/8140 approved baseline certification (Security+ or equivalent, or CISSP).
- Deep familiarity with NIST 800-53 standards and ICD 503/RMF.
- Ability to travel up to 15% CONUS/OCONUS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the INCOSE Systems Engineering “V” model.
- Proven ability to translate system specifications into Information Security requirements.
- Previous experience obtaining authorizations for systems used in or in support of aircraft.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and hardened Linux-based operating systems.
