Manager - India Tax and Finance

Responsibilities

• Oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting activities for India legal entities.
• Manage tax compliance for overseas entities within the Group through the Tax Centre of Excellence (CoE).
• Review journal entries, tax account reconciliations, and transfer pricing compliance documentation.
• Support Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and group year-end tax processes.
• Liaise with statutory auditors, global stakeholders, and external advisors on compliance and litigation matters.
• Analyze the impact of changes in tax laws and ensure ERP systems and internal processes are prepared for regulatory shifts.
• Lead and manage the Tax CoE team, ensuring adherence to internal controls, SLAs, and governance frameworks.
• Manage tax litigations and draft responses to regulatory queries and tax notices.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in Indian and international taxation, compliance, and reporting.
• Proven experience in managing and developing small teams.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with global stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Hyperion SmartView and TRCS.
• Experience leveraging technology, automation, or digital tools to streamline tax compliance.
• Exposure to emerging AI solutions for data analysis and reporting.
