Manager, Index Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand a team of index analysts across multiple offices
• Coordinate the daily calculation, maintenance, and validation of US indices, including options and iNAVs/IOPVs
• Support the Theoretical Options Pricing Service (TOPS) through process maintenance, validations, and client support
• Lead team efforts in running index validations and quality assurance checks using Python scripting
• Participate in index committee meetings to influence methodology enhancements and market consultations
• Onboard new indices by evaluating methodology for operational feasibility and establishing appropriate validations
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments on new index and benchmark launches and post-launch support
• Drive process improvements through regular incident reviews and internal postmortems

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in options, equities, financial indexing, or related financial markets
• Strong quantitative and programming skills, specifically with Python, R, and SQL (Python preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven ability to solve non-routine problems and interpret complex index mathematics/formulas
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous managerial experience leading a team of 2–6 people
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field
