Manager, Human Factors

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on failure analysis investigations and field inspections
• Plan and execute laboratory tests to evaluate human performance and safety
• Communicate findings effectively to clients, counsel, and stakeholders
• Prepare technical reports and assist with critique reports examining other experts' conclusions
• Manage the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements and prioritize team time
• Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and mediations
• Develop positive relationships with colleagues, peers, and clients

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Experimental, Industrial, or Cognitive Psychology, or Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years of professional experience in Human Factors
• Specific work experience in the forensic field, including experimental design and statistical analysis
• Proven expertise in technical report writing and communicating complex information
• Experience with human-computer interaction, product design, or cognitive engineering
• Ability to travel as-needed for investigations and client engagements

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Human Factors Professional (CFHP) or Certified User Experience Professional (UXP)
• Experience with safety consulting, evidence examination, or occupational biomechanics
• Knowledge of research and application of industry regulations and standards
