About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on failure analysis investigations and field inspections
- Plan and execute laboratory tests to evaluate human performance and safety
- Communicate findings effectively to clients, counsel, and stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports and assist with critique reports examining other experts' conclusions
- Manage the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements and prioritize team time
- Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and mediations
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues, peers, and clients
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Experimental, Industrial, or Cognitive Psychology, or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of professional experience in Human Factors
- Specific work experience in the forensic field, including experimental design and statistical analysis
- Proven expertise in technical report writing and communicating complex information
- Experience with human-computer interaction, product design, or cognitive engineering
- Ability to travel as-needed for investigations and client engagements
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Human Factors Professional (CFHP) or Certified User Experience Professional (UXP)
- Experience with safety consulting, evidence examination, or occupational biomechanics
- Knowledge of research and application of industry regulations and standards
