Manager, HUB – IP (Patents)

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute patent search and analytics assignments, including patentability, Freedom to Operate (FTO), and invalidity assessments
• Perform biosequence and structure activity searches and state-of-the-art landscape mapping
• Deliver authoritative insights and risk mitigation recommendations to IP Counsel, R&D leadership, and business stakeholders
• Scope search strategies, craft sophisticated query frameworks, and validate multi-jurisdictional data
• Apply deep scientific expertise to interpret technical disclosures and identify material prior art
• Provide quality review and methodological coaching to junior team members
• Develop reusable search templates, taxonomies, and competitive intelligence frameworks

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline
• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in patent search, prior-art analytics, and technology intelligence
• Demonstrated expertise in high-complexity search assignments requiring independent judgment and multi-database triangulation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to explain complex issues clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Patent Agent (India/US/EU)
• Experience supporting consumer-health, pharma, or life-sciences domains
• Proficiency with trademark docketing systems such as ANAQUA
• Understanding of trademark prosecution steps, renewal cycles, and recordal requirements
