Manager - Housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Manage the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a luxury resort setting.
• Oversee departmental rosters, manning, and the performance of both permanent and contracted staff.
• Support Assistant Managers and Supervisors in developing Guest Room Attendants through quality audits and improvement plans.
• Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure efficient room turnover and a seamless guest arrival experience.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas to maintain resort standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines.
• Manage departmental budgets, including the monitoring of guest room supplies and amenities.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management, including coaching, counseling, and conducting appraisals.
• Proactively anticipate guest requirements and resolve grievances efficiently to ensure memorable experiences.

Requirements

• Graduate in Hotel Management, a Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within a 5-star hotel.
• Proficiency in property management and operational software, specifically Opera, Maximo, and FCS.
• Fluent in English (verbal, written, and reading).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
