Manager - Housekeeping

Responsibilities

• Manage the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee departmental rosters, manning, and the performance of both internal colleagues and contracted staff.
• Support Assistant Managers and Supervisors in developing Guest Room Attendants through quality audits and improvement plans.
• Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure efficient daily room turnover and seamless guest arrivals.
• Monitor productivity tools and manage the usage of guest supplies and amenities within budgetary guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas to maintain resort standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance management, including coaching, counseling, and conducting appraisals.
• Proactively anticipate guest requirements and resolve grievances efficiently to create memorable experiences.

Requirements

• Graduate in Hotel Management, a Diploma, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar management position within a 5-star hotel.
• Proficiency in property management software including Opera, Maximo, and FCS communication systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English (verbal, written, and reading).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
