Manager, Hospital Billing

Responsibilities

• Manage hospital billing teams to ensure timely and accurate claim submission and follow-up
• Partner with Huron and Luminis leadership to implement strategies aligned with revenue cycle objectives
• Monitor billing performance metrics, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to meet KPIs
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer regulations governing hospital billing
• Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to resolve escalated billing issues and improve workflows
• Support staff development through training, coaching, and performance evaluations
• Assist with technology initiatives, including Epic optimization, to enhance billing processes
• Contribute to resource planning and operational improvements to achieve departmental goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 6–8 years of experience in healthcare billing operations
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization
• Strong knowledge of hospital and professional billing processes
• Ability to work onsite at Luminis Health facilities (Annapolis, Maryland area)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic technology
