Manager - Health & Benefits Consulting

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects involving the design, financing, and management of health and benefit programs including medical, dental, life, and disability.
• Perform benefit plan analysis, cost savings evaluations, and funding strategy development for large clients.
• Manage vendor procurement, negotiation, and optimization processes.
• Conduct benchmarking studies, research, and value-added analyses to support client decision-making.
• Design and evaluate responses to surveys and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Partner with Consultants to deliver high-quality project management and client deliverables.
• Mentor and develop junior-level staff while reviewing analytical work for quality assurance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with health and welfare plans, ideally within a benefit consulting or brokerage environment.
• Proven expertise in project management, with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong financial skills, specifically regarding health and welfare product pricing.
• Demonstrated success in client relationship management and resolving complex client issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating professional client deliverables.
• Strong analytical, creative, and integrative problem-solving abilities.
