About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability, and absence management benefits.
- Manage projects by monitoring progress against objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, providing proactive advisory services and superior service.
- Contribute to benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings, and funding strategies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in pharmacy, data analytics, compliance, and health management.
- Support new business generation by participating in prospecting opportunities.
- Mentor junior colleagues and build effective internal cross-functional relationships.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in the design or management of health and welfare plans.
- Background in a consulting or brokerage environment, or a consultative role at a carrier or vendor.
- Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain a State Life and Health license within 90 days of joining.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEBS designation.
- Health and welfare actuarial or underwriting training.
