Manager - Health and Benefits Consulting

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability, and absence management benefits.
• Manage projects by monitoring progress against objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, providing proactive advisory services and superior service.
• Contribute to benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings, and funding strategies.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts in pharmacy, data analytics, compliance, and health management.
• Support new business generation by participating in prospecting opportunities.
• Mentor junior colleagues and build effective internal cross-functional relationships.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in the design or management of health and welfare plans.
• Background in a consulting or brokerage environment, or a consultative role at a carrier or vendor.
• Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to obtain a State Life and Health license within 90 days of joining.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CEBS designation.
• Health and welfare actuarial or underwriting training.
