Manager, GSS Accounts Payable

Responsibilities

• Lead AP operations, including vendor maintenance, invoice processing, and compliant payment execution.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee vendor master data governance and T&E program administration in Concur.
• Manage payment execution, including ACH, check, wire, and ePay batches.
• Execute technical AP activities such as interface monitoring, reconciliations, and UAT testing.
• Drive automation and data-quality initiatives using tools like Python and advanced Excel.
• Manage AP reporting and analytics, including KPI and spend analysis.
• Act as the primary escalation point for vendor, invoice, and payment inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal/external audits, and statutory requirements.
• Lead and develop the AP team through training, coaching, and workload prioritization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of progressive AP/P2P experience, with experience in management roles.
• Mandatory certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Contador Público.
• Proven experience working within Shared Services Centers (SSC) in high-volume environments.
• Proficiency in Oracle, Concur, and advanced Excel.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and internal control frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the hospitality, retail, or multi-location industries.
• Experience transitioning AP activities to a Shared Services environment.
• Certifications such as CMA, IOFM Certified AP Manager, or Lean/Six Sigma.
• Proficiency with Python or Power BI for data analysis.
