Manager, GSS Accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Record-to-Report (R2R) activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting across multiple legal entities.
• Oversee journal entry preparation, sub-ledger reconciliations, and full general ledger close cycles.
• Manage corporate allocations, overhead processes, and the full fixed-asset accounting cycle.
• Direct period-end close activities, including accruals, eliminations, and the finalization of financial statements.
• Provide leadership over payroll accounting and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of payroll results.
• Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards to ensure audit readiness.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, driving process optimization and standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or equivalent).
• 8-10+ years of experience in Accounting, R2R, or General Ledger roles.
• Proven experience working within Shared Services Centers in complex, high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Experience managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CMA or Lean/Six Sigma.
• Experience in the hospitality, retail, or multi-location industries.
