Manager, Group Fleet Analytics

Responsibilities

• Shape the Qantas Group’s fleet strategy through robust financial and commercial insights
• Lead detailed financial modelling and commercial analysis for major fleet investment decisions
• Support Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with key OEMs including Airbus, Boeing, GE, Rolls-Royce, and Pratt & Whitney
• Conduct lease versus buy analysis and aircraft trading strategy evaluations
• Provide thought leadership on industry developments, emerging technologies, and fleet trends
• Own aircraft valuation tools and fleet data analytics
• Partner with Treasury, Investor Relations, and Group Finance on asset valuation and capital planning

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in the commercial aviation industry
• Fundamental understanding of airline economics and fleet planning principles
• Strong financial and analytical capability with experience in financial modelling
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders
• Experience in people management or project management
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or business
• Postgraduate qualifications such as CFA or CA
