About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the global event retail business and establish retail strategies for League tentpole events such as the Super Bowl, NFL Draft, and international games
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify growth opportunities using data-driven insights and analytics
- Support the global ecommerce business by working with licensees to develop financial plans, achieve KPIs, and drive growth strategies
- Oversee a portfolio of partners within the NFL’s global softline apparel category, managing day-to-day communication and contract compliance
- Partner with licensees to increase engagement across key fan segments and activate league-wide partnership deliverables
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely royalty reporting and financial payments
- Facilitate quality control approvals and licensee line reviews to ensure compliance with contract standards and quality requirements
- Work cross-functionally with other NFL departments, Clubs, and Licensees on joint strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, licensing, business development, or brand management within sports, entertainment, or consumer products
- Strong understanding of trademark licensing, deal structures, and contract terms
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with collegiate athletics or professional sports leagues
- Knowledge of various retail and distribution channels
- Understanding of digital commerce and D2C business models
- International licensing experience
- Experience using CRM systems and licensing databases
