Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of Forward Deployed Engineers delivering production systems with frontier models
• Own end-to-end delivery outcomes through clarity, speed, tight coordination, and technical quality
• Codify successful patterns into tools, playbooks, and roadmap inputs to create leverage for the developer community
• Partner with Product, Research, Sales, and GTM teams to ensure field insights inform roadmap priorities
• Set a high bar for performance and support individual growth through direct, actionable feedback
• Define scalable staffing and support models for field teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering or technical delivery experience
• 2+ years of experience managing high-performing engineers (ideally FDE or customer-facing)
• Proven track record of leading high-pressure technical projects from prototype to production
• Proficiency in writing and reviewing production-grade code in Javascript or Python
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments
• Ability to translate complex field experiences into actionable feedback for Research and Product teams
• Strong judgment in distinguishing between urgent issues and noise in customer environments
