Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to develop, debug, and deploy production-grade AI applications within client environments.
• Build and validate AI application prototypes and provide technical architecture guidance to advance agent systems to production.
• Design AI and cloud-based architectures, integrating client application APIs and data systems while ensuring security compliance.
• Oversee the creation of high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure accuracy, safety, and low latency.
• Identify reusable application patterns and translate technical challenges into product feature requests for the core development team.
• Partner closely with client engineering teams to ensure successful launch, long-term adoption, and technical success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of client-facing technical architecture and delivery experience.
• 2+ years of technical team management experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI applications, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, and agent development.
• Proficiency in cloud-based architecture, including the use of cloud service APIs/SDKs and automated deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in a related technical field.
• Experience communicating technical solutions to C-level stakeholders and providing business consulting.
• Proven track record of delivering AI solutions within specific industry ecosystems.
• Experience with complex agent systems and frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or cloud provider agent SDKs.
