Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to build, validate, and deploy production-grade AI application prototypes and agent systems within client environments.
• Provide technical architecture guidance and design AI and cloud-based architectures that integrate with client APIs and data systems.
• Oversee the development of high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure system accuracy, safety, and low latency.
• Identify reusable application patterns and technical challenges to drive product feature requests and development.
• Partner closely with client engineering teams to ensure successful product launch, long-term adoption, and technical success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in client-facing technical architecture and delivery.
• 2+ years of experience in technical team management.
• Hands-on experience with AI applications, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, and agent development.
• Proficiency in cloud-based architecture, including the use of cloud service APIs/SDKs and high-availability deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in a related technical field.
• Experience communicating with C-level stakeholders and providing business consulting.
• Proven track record of delivering AI solutions within specific industry ecosystems.
• Experience with complex agent systems and frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or cloud provider agent SDKs.
