Rothy’s is a sustainable footwear and accessories brand that transforms single-use plastic bottles and ocean-bound marine plastic into signature thread. Using 3D knitting technology and handcrafted assembly, they create machine-washable, zero-waste essentials.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a scalable approach for leveraging consumer data to inform product development and fit decisions
  • Synthesize wear test results, lab testing, and consumer feedback into actionable product insights
  • Establish and improve product testing methodologies for existing styles and new silhouettes, specifically knit footwear
  • Partner with Product Development and Design teams to refine assortments through fact-based insights
  • Prioritize fit, wear, and performance risks to ensure smooth transitions from development to production
  • Collaborate with Marketing to translate testing results into authentic product stories
  • Manage relationships with internal and external wear test participants and brand advocates
  • Maintain regular communication with Asia-based factory partners regarding fit and performance expectations

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in footwear technical engineering, fit & wear testing, or commercialization
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomechanics, kinesiology, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of knit footwear construction, materials, and fit systems
  • Experience designing and managing wear testing programs and interpreting lab data
  • Experience partnering with Asia-based factories or vendors
  • Proficiency in PLM and Google Workspace
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific experience with knit footwear
  • Proficiency with data visualization or analytics tools
