Manager Food Services I

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food service operations and onsite food production for the ISU Catering Team
• Supervise and train staff, including full-time employees and student workers, on sanitation and safety standards
• Ensure high standards of food quality, quantity, appearance, and temperature while minimizing waste
• Manage staffing schedules, including creating weekly rosters and coordinating coverage for catered events
• Inspect food and supplies to verify quantities and quality against catering order specifications
• Maintain adequate inventory by participating in the requisitioning of food, equipment, and supplies
• Foster a customer-friendly environment and build positive relationships with clients and staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of related experience in food service or hospitality

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supervising catering or hospitality operations and event execution
• Strong commitment to customer service and client relationship management
• Experience leading and developing diverse teams in a high-volume environment
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory management practices
• Proven ability to manage labor resources and support operational efficiency within budget goals
