Manager, Financial Reporting and Operations

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations and monthly close processes for the Dental Clinic, including reconciliation schedules and variance analysis
• Prepare quarterly financial statement analysis in accordance with GAAP and present findings to leadership
• Conduct patient care revenue analysis by payor and analyze variances between actuals and budget
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and cost report preparation through direct interaction with external auditors
• Liaise with the University tax department for the preparation of the annual 990 for the Dental Clinic
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and improve reporting efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible financial management experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Experience working with enterprise financial systems
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare sector
• Experience with healthcare billing involving Medicaid, Private Insurance, and Managed Care providers
• Public accounting experience or a CPA license
• Experience with PeopleSoft or the Columbia University Accounting System (ARC)
