Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the preparation of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
• Review work produced by FP&A staff and ensure clear presentation for senior stakeholders
• Oversee financial closing and reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual packages
• Synthesize data and communicate insights to leadership to drive decision-making
• Review financial and operating KPIs and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Approve monthly cash flow reporting for MLB Local Media
• Provide oversight on invoice coding and financial transactions
• Lead efforts to improve financial systems, reports, and dashboards

Requirements

• 5+ years of financial analysis or FP&A experience
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience with financial reporting systems
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with regional sports networks or local sports media
• Experience in television, advertising, or affiliate sales
• Knowledge of production finance or accounting
• Familiarity with ERPs like Oracle Fusion
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Adaptive Planning
