About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute timely and accurate financial reporting for group, legal entity, and reportable segments to support management and statutory requirements
  • Provide financial performance insights and recommendations by analyzing complex data sets related to credit cards, rewards, and cashback programs
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure systems and processes are accurately configured for financial accuracy
  • Manage the fiscal period close processes and provide input into the planning and implementation of financial programs
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to align business needs and ensure clear contextual understanding
  • Support internal and external audits (including SOX) by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Design and manage core business financial processes, reporting systems, and controls to mitigate risk and improve effectiveness
  • Interpret accounting changes and assess their impact on financial results and reporting requirements

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study
  • CPA designation is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect data to business drivers
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to work independently on non-routine situations
  • Expertise in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management and storytelling
  • Ability to build effective relationships across functional disciplines
